Today's Walk

This afternoon was slightly balmy, so I decided to take Harvey & Jackson for a long walk around our neighborhood. It was warm enough to go without our coats (me and the boys!).

Here are some photos from today's walk:

Notice how dark the sky is in the photo above? Well, little did I know, but a storm was just about to pass over us:

When it started to rain I thought the storm would move over us quickly, so we took cover on the porch of a vacant house. Harvey was not thrilled about the situation.

The rain grew steadily worse so I decided we should start heading back. Then it started to pour. Harvey & Jackson were real troopers, and even though we got soaked, we made it home.

Jackson recovered quickly!

Harvey needs a bit more time.

The next time we take a walk, I'm checking the weather map first!

A Walk Along Monument Avenue

Today we took a walk along Monument Avenue. Although it's difficult to tell from these photos (I need a new camera!), many of the homes have extravagant holiday decorations.

Photos from today's walk (click pictures for more detail):

Stonewall Jackson (who Jackson is NOT named after) monument.
Jefferson Davis monument.

The boys spot a squirrel.
Robert E. Lee monument.

A Walk Along the River

Wow, what a difference a day makes. This afternoon the sun came out and it was warm enough for a walk.

Harvey and Jackson were doing their best to act like they never get to go anywhere, so I decided to take them down to James River Park for a stroll along the river.

The boys are bundled up and ready to go!

Pictures from our walk.

The boys are always stuck to me like glue, so it's hard to get a picture of their faces... A passerby took this photo.

On our way home... someone spots the boys!

Back home... Jackson and Harvey resume their Neighborhood Patrol duties.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
