Hound Social

Two years ago this month we founded a walking group for Sighthounds called the "Around Town Hounds."  Six hounds attended the first walk in September, 2010.  Since then, we've met for walks at least once a month, and the group has grown to over 55 members and even more hounds!  In addition to Greyhounds, the Around Town Hounds includes Afghans, Wolfhounds, and Deerhounds.  I've really enjoyed meeting new friends and the challenge of finding new places to explore with the hounds.

Over the weekend we held a "Hound Social" to celebrate the second anniversary of that very first walk.  I had so much fun and I think the hounds did too!

See you soon!

Hello Again

Greetings, Everyone! It has been a very long time since we last posted to our blog, in fact, it's been 16 months.

As life goes, things changed for us, and I lost my motivation to share what was happening in our lives. But now, things are reaching a new normal, and I am excited to tap into some long lost creativity!

Harvey, Jackson, and Jimmy Chew are a little older, but are doing just fine. Jello is with her dad, and she's doing well too.

So, to catch up, here's a little summary of what we've been doing since our last post. :)

We've been on a lot of walks.

We've celebrated birthdays and gotcha days.

The boys have had a few boo-boos.

I've been able to help with a few GURs, including one for Mr. Giles Henry!

And maybe the best news of all, Harvey is now a certified therapy dog. We've had so many amazing experiences together and have met some wonderful people. Our favorite activity thus far has been volunteering as a read team for Paws to R.E.A.D., a program designed to help improve reading skills for children.

We're excited about posting here again. Love and hugs to our Greyhound friends.
